This astonishing embroidery is a part of the 8-piece series dedicated to European Palaeolithic art. It can be purchased and admired as a single piece of 40 x 40 cm (15.7 x 15.7 in), or you can get more pieces from the series for your home, office or business premises. The whole series as a set of 8 measures 80 x 160 cm (31.4 x 62.8 in).

This amazing embroidery depicts a detail from Lascaux Cave, one of the most impressive cave painting sites in the world. The motif is taken from the Hall of Bulls. On a canvas of ancient rocks, an auroch, at the time the largest land mammal in Europe and emblematic figure of Lascaux, is accompanied by horses and deer. This embroidery, created with more than a hundred thousand stitches, with great detailing and superb shading, is a masterpiece and a true tribute to ancient cave artists.

Estimated to be more than 17,000 years old, Lascaux Cave paintings amaze us with its incredible beauty and sophistication. Exceptional realism, as well as their spectacular colours, is why Lascaux is sometimes referred to as The Sistine Chapel of Prehistory – and their artists as Michelangelos and Da Vincis of Palaeolithic. Their art survived through millennia of the changing world, rising and falling of civilizations, wars and weather, leaving a permanent mark for us and our descendants to find and admire.

Treat yourself to this special and timeless art piece.
