This spectacular embroidery is a part of the 8-piece “Deep Space Journey” series. It is a series of images from deep space, originally made by Hubble telescope. It can be purchased and admired as a single piece of 40 x 40 cm (15.7 x 15.7 in), or you can get more pieces from the series for your home, office or business premises. The whole series as a set of 8 measures 80 x 160 cm (31.4 x 62.8 in).

This fantastic embroidery depicts Eta Carinae, massive star system, as seen and taken by Hubble telescope. Located about 7,500 light-years away in the southern constellation of Carina, Eta Carinae is known for its surprising behaviour, erupting twice in the 19th century for reasons still not understood. The blasts were titanic, releasing almost as much energy as a supernova explosion and with massive dust cloud expanding more than 32 million kilometres per hour, but the stars somehow survived, providing an intriguing mystery for science. There are at least two stars in Eta Carinae, a bigger, cooler primary star with about 90 times the mass of our Sun, and a smaller, hotter one that has about 30 solar masses. The material ejected in the first, greater eruption, created so called Homunculus Nebula. We have recreated this cosmic peculiarity in a superb embroidery, made with more than a hundred thousand stitches and in exquisite colours.

In our Universe, there are two trillion galaxies, each composed of billions of stars, planets, dust and gas. We have selected some of the most spectacular views and unusual phenomena, delivered to humanity by legendary space traveller Hubble telescope*, and recreated them as superb embroideries of great detail and vivid colours.
